How to review and submit orders to Business Central
 
  • Navigate to Billing area
    • At the VERY BOTTOM LEFT click on 'Projects' to change area.  choose Billing
    • Then click on Orders in the left hand sitemap
    • use the view 'Orders - need review'

 

TO SUBMIT TO BC

  • Review each order and order lines the click SUBMIT ORDER at top
  • or click Cancel Order to get order off list and NOT send to BC

 

If issue with Order - 

  • We can modify time, or project rate, or msp threshold on project then run again.

 

ORDERS ARE CREATED WITH THE FOLLOWING LOGIC

  • First we create orders only for T&M, MSP, CSP projects that have time entries that meet the following criteria
    • Date on or after X and on or before Y - this is the two week period typically
    • Professional Service Hours
    • Role DOES NOT EQUAL Do Not Invoice
  • For each time entry that meets criteria above
    • We pull the bill rate from here in the project.  Its the STANDARD role with rate set.
    • The MSP monthly entitlement is MSP/CSP hours threshold field on the proect
      • For each order, we add up all the billable time and check to see if its more than half the MSP/CSP Hours Threshold value
      • If less, then we discount to zero the invoice (unless there are expenses)
      • If more than entitlement - we add the full entitlement discount for that period (half the MSP/CSP hours thershold)
